We have lots of hoodues here in many different weights of fabrics...from T-shirt knit to fleece to heavy winter coat weights...even raincoats. I put the hoods up sometimes...if it is cold or rainy...otherwise, the hoods stay back. No biggie either way...no harm to the ears. There is no way I know of to 'fix stupid' so I would ignore what that lady said.
