I agree 100%. Responsible breeding is not a money making venture, it includes a responsibility for maintaining breed standards, which includes knowing the pedigrees for 5 or 6 generations as well as current genetic testing for breed specific/genetically transmitted conditions as well as unexpected possibilities such as CDA, Blue borns,and other color variations that are not "standard" according to the AKC specifications. If he is not planning to follow AKC recommendations, then he just needs to have his dogs neuetred/spayed and not even entertain the thought of breeding,
