His blood was bright red the first time, but then it was a very dark color. His poop came out a little bit reddish but solid now. I'll keep an eye on him and take him to my vet for a follow up on Monday.

Dark colored blood, almost blackish poopie means the blood is coming from the stomach or upper intestine. It seems like something irritated his whole digestive system...I would be going nuts trying to figure out what it is! Did they (ER) say what it could've been?
Hope Bentley will recuperate from this ordeal & not have any more tummy troubles. I would stop those jerky treats, even if it's made in the USA...just don't trust them!
