I was surprised that my vet recommended the rawhide too. He even recommended a thinner version, which I was surprised by due to the fact that I thought Simon would eat it right away and digest it, or try to. So I went with a bone rawhide, and Simon hasn't gotten very far with it
He like the Himalayan, but he just tore one up last night, so I may get him the medium sized ones and limit his time for them to mornings and some evening time before bed.
Still open to suggestions for anyone who knows of a cheap place to buy them! I am going to have my dad look at Costco, but right now PetSmart is having a pretty good sale online and I have bought some there.
