Full blood panels do not require fasting. Althought it may not give the actual BA results, it will tell you if there is a problem with the Liver and then I'd would proceed with a BA. I do full blood panels on all my puppies and my adults have had BA and BP. BP are also know as preanesthetic blood work. I have it done on my adults when they go in for dentals, c-sections, spays, whenever they are getting anesthetic. Reason being you don't want to put a dog under anesthetic if there is a problem. Problems are ususally blamed on anesthetic when in fact BP weren't done and there was an underlying problem. Many people don't have the BP done everytime they put a dog under.
