I'm in Houston but just heard on the news that Distemper is ON THE RISE
They just did a big announcement on it & said 10 fatalities so far...
...a VERY sad awful way for a dog to die.
PLEASE Always get your dogs vaccinated ...this is one awful disease and none of us wants to take ANY chances - for anyone who has fears about getting their dogs vaccinated - PLEASE TALK it over with your vet and work out something that is suitable to you both...Many shots can be spaced out and it's very important that all our yorkies are safe even if they are mostly in the house

Also - don't overlook protecting them against HEARTWORMS....THAT is simple - a yummy Chewy once a month called Heartguard can save you from future heartache.....
Remember.....Heartworms are caused by mosquitos and we ALL have to deal with those nasty creatures.
