I don't think it's 'conflicting' so much as it varies, really. A lot of dogs reach their adult size by around 6-8 months, but continue putting on weight for a few months, even a year afterward. Billi is 9 months and hasn't added so much as an ounce in about 3 months, but I'm sure she'll fill out more eventually.

The best predictor is the parent &/or sibling dogs. How old were they when they reached adult size & weight, what is their adult size/weight, etc? It can help give an idea, but every dog is different.
