thank you guys for watching and making all those nice comments, Lola is blushing. She is little trouper that's for sure. Her first dive on the second day was by far her furthest dive, but it was practice and no one got a photo of it. We did a running start, which meant my husband held on to her on the back end of the platform and I was at the waters edge squeaking and teasing her with the toy, on the count of three he released her and I threw the toy, she flew down the dock and into the water and got almost 8 feet. But when it was her turn to dive she ran up and then stopped looking down for the toy. My husband said she now knew the water was wet and cold. However each time it was her turn she would dive in, which I can't say all dogs did, she often followed a Rottie who would only go in the water half the time so the crowd really got a kick out of Lola after that. My husband cracked me up because after grumbling about going he really got into it. He was so bummed that she did not do the running start in the heats, he told anyone that would listen about how far she went in practice, and LOL I swear it grew a foot each time he told it. I am just sorry I did not get a shot of her in Beach robe that has her name on the back, she wore that in between each heat. I will say she was the only one that came with multiple outfits, life vest, monogramed bath robe, monogrammed towels, hair dryer, grooming tools and a stroller, that's why I call her my diving diva. I felt like it took me forever to get out of the house |
