I think the Variocage is probably going to be the safest for travel in a vehicle. But, as you said, you need an SUV and it's extremely cost prohibitive for the average pet owner, which is also unfortunate, because we want all dogs to be safe in the car. I'm so frustrated with the lack of options out there. It just seems with the technology and innovation we have in this day in age, there would be more companies out there who could be providing better solutions. I would think the demand would be there...unless it's just that the majority of people don't understand the danger to driving with an unrestrained dog, or, don't take their dog places....?
