we must have a different machine, mine just has a flat surface where you put the cup so it is not forgiving. This is sort of funny (now but not at the time), one very groggy morning, I forgot to put the cup under the machine, and did not notice until the whole thing brewed, so it dripped all over my counter and into the draw and cupboard below. I was desperate for my cuppa decaf
so before cleaning up the mess I took the machine and moved it to a dry area in the kitchen. I filled the little reusable plastic cup with the coffee and started walking toward the machine, my foot caught on the rug so I stumbled a little, the top was not down on the cup so the grounds flew all over the place. So now I have a dripping wet mess on one side of the kitchen and ground coffee all over the other side of the kitchen and Lola is running through it all thinking it must be a treat. My day was off to a rough start
