I don't have any advice on that one really. Do you know the background of her? I know my biggest yorkie star will do that to try and show me dominance. Or just to tell me she doesn't want to be petted. Just give her some time to adjust to her new surroundings. I'm sure she will come around. Congrats on your new furbutt!!
