It definitely sounds like a dominance action. I have females that will do that to other females. The bad thing about it is when you get two dominate females together it eventually leads to fighting. Hopefully your two will remain tolerate of each other. Sometimes it can be a problem raising two females together. It depends totally on their personalities.
