My vet said unless there having an actual treachea collapse at the time of the X-ray that the X-ray won't show it. She also said it would have to be a "moving" X-ray. Both yorkies in my life have ct and when pushed on the trachea they cough. I would wait until the kennel cough is gone until checking for ct.
