I don't feel that gender affects bonding. Bonding is created by way humans treat the pup, who feeds it, plays with it, cuddles it and cares for it. Both males and females can give unconditional love.

That being said, I chose 4 females, not wanting a leg lifting pee shooter, haha; although my male mini Schnauzer was the most loyal loving boy I ever knew.

Concentrate on picking a good breeder first, and a healthy pup, have the pup neutered or spayed, and you will have a best friend for life. Good luck.
