Yikes, That coffee table set up cant be comfortable on your back.

* Definitely would not suggest using a card table or a commuter chair. Card chair yes or something with some support for your back would be best. Use with a small desk or any sturdy table with a good foundation and some room to spread out would be great.

Tips: Make sure that you have a seem ripper, and when (not if) you need to use it because you will believe me. Be sure that you do not puncture the fabric. Be very careful to only get ahold of the stitching.

And when starting and finishing a row or item on you sewing machine be sure to always back stitch to secure your stitching.

When laying out your fabric to cut your pattern, always be sure that the two front side are facing one another.

Start with some easy type items, things with straight lines until you get use to your machine. Some of my first projects were curtains/valance or swags, pillow cases, table runners, throw pillows. Things like that. Things to spruce up our home.

Have fun and I cant wait to see your first sewing project !!
