I'll be the first to offer advice: always be sure your top thread & bobbin are threaded correctly (you'll know if it's wrong because your stitches won't be right). Get yourself a good sewing encyclopedia type book for when you need more info on something. Google is your friend too! (TONS of sewing videos online.)
