Agreed, and preferably a no choke harness one that sits lower on the chest and is more fitted so that the pressure is put on the front legs and not the neck. It would also work it you could work with him to walk beside you and not in front where he can pull. Its not easy but is would be worth the hard work you put into it. Plus better for your pup.
