I understand. Both of my kids have said they will not take on my yorkies. They don't like small dogs. I am 51, but Bella is 5 and Jack is under a year old. There's that possiability. Before Jack, I told my husband that if I pass before Bella, go ahead and have the vet take care of her and put her in with me. My vet even said he's done that before because there are several out there that feel that same way. So sad. Note....I am taking care of my daughters 90 pound Lab mix for the next two years. There again I traveled 12 hours to pick her up because my daughter said they'd give her away or take her to a shelter. I don't think so, so now I have her.
