We only have 4 people too - me/hubby, and his parents (who recently moved here to AZ). Most of those gold-trimmed pretty dishes are from his parents - they gave the set to us some years back (so nice!). But I found those gold-beaded-ball plates at Goodwill...and get this, they go for about $50 a plate on ebay, but I got them for like $1.99. SCORE.
