Very good idea, Nancy. I did this with my phone, changed it to some horrible music, and the boys ignore it. (the nice iPhone ping doesn't phase them either, so I should get one, lol).
The boys go nuts when the doorbell rings. We have baby gates to keep them out of the foyer, so no rounding up necessary.
