As to the comment about being in foster care for months...some stay for years. Foster homes should be the same as a forever home ... just as good..and the adoptive home in the end should be equal to or better than that foster home. Our foster homes go through the same process to foster as people do to adopt. |
Totally agree with Linda here. If we have someone surrendering dogs that are really bonded we keep them together. In fact I had Smokey and Chloe adopted out in just a few months. As well as when I had Dakota, her two brothers were surrendered and adopted as a pair in a few weeks. Then I have Toto here. Adorable, 4 lbs, great hair, I've had him since April and only had one family come see him. He will stay here until the perfect family comes along, even if that's forever.
