I have always read that cat food has to have a higher protein level than dog food, and that it is not good for dogs to eat cat food and visa versa. I cannot now remember exactly can happen to a dog who is constantly fed cat food or what happens to cats who are given dog food, but they are not supposed to be nutritionally interchangeable! Can some of our Yorkie Talk members who are knowledgeable breeders give us some exact information about how these foods are different and why we should feed our Yorkies "dog food"?
