Really depends on the pup. Many are toy destroyers, while others do well with just about anything.
Max loves his Extreme Kong treat dispenser, the black one, but Teddy has learned how to rip the top off of it. I can't let Max have it unsupervised anymore.
I sewed a bunch of ugly soft toys and put squeakers in that I bought at the pet store. Both of my boys love them and can't destroy them. Many people rave about (wish I had thought of this

They come with or without stuffing, and they are very durable.
We also like Ty Bow Wow beanie babies, but they are getting harder to find.
