From what I have read, bile acids are not necessarily accurate when done on a very young puppy. However, they are better as a diagnostic tool when a puppy has the symptoms of PSS. If a puppy is healthy- NO symptoms at all-, the vet will be the best source of info to make the decision about which test needs to bo done. Bile Acid tests require a period of fasting that a very young puppy might not handle well and the needs to be taken into consideration...
