 Thought it was Kennel Cough but not sure now
About 6 weeks ago one of my best friends and Sadie's pup-sitter brought home a new pup. After a couple weeks of her having her she started coughing sporadically. I stopped taking Sadie over and she took her pup to the vet and they diagnosed her with kennel cough. When Sadie started coughing I took her to the vet and let them know that it was possible that she had been exposed to Kennel Cough so they put her on antibiotics. Now its getting worse instead of better. She was vaccinated against Bordetella on October 5th. I am really concerned that it may be more serious. She is only on day 5 of the antibiotic so I guess it is possible it was kennel cough which is getting worse before getting better. I just feel horrible for her because it sounds so bad. She is still full of energy and eating and drinking well. I don't know do I continue to keep her on the antibiotics or do I take her back to the vet and let them know the cough is worse? In the meantime what can we do at home to sooth her cough? Thanks |
