I always say it never hurts to ask. Aren't cats usually "cleaner" then dogs? Once you get Charlie to be comfortable around the kitty, he might have a good playmate too! Someone to snuggle with under your desk while you work. OH OH! Charlie will have a partner to hunt mice with!!!!! LOL
If the landlord says no, then at least you made an attempt. (How am I doing on convincing you to keep the cutie pie?)
