some of my dogs allergies come from people food and i just recently read some dog foods with corn ,soy, fillers etc and we have switched her food but she hasn't been on it long enough to see a difference. if she has allergies then your vet can either advise you on what to stay away from (food) or maybe recommend benadryl and if they are fairly bad allergies (the biting, scratching and chewing) he may give you a pill to give her when the start acting up. when i get off work i will look and she what the name of the medicine is that we give our dog. hope this helps. if you don't feel comfortable with you vet try to find another one in your area and get a second opinion. |
