I remember I really was clueless about dog breeds standards/etc when I got Jackson. I just wanted a puppy. I thought he was soooo tiny when I got him. Only 6lbs. Then I went to a mini Yorkietalk meetup and realized how gigantic my 7 month old puppy was
and that the size he was when I brought him home is how big Yorkies are supposed to be!
He's more... Westie or Border Terrier sized. But I prefer it so it doesn't bother me.
