IMHO, the Yorkshire Breed has been increasing in size/weight over the decades. I believe this to be caused previously by "most" people leaning toward the more active in viewing a Liter. More active, thus stronger, thus bigger, and it is passed along to the next generation.

It's unfortunate, that recently, there are many who would choose one of the Toy Breeds, have a fixation on having one that is very small. This has put a terrific burden on Breeders to cause those accommodations. Those who have resisted, should be applauded.

Often, an experienced Owner doesn't understand the Health Problems caused by downsize breeding, and experiences a life long periphery of those, and frequently a premature death.
