Found Yorki that almost got hit by car 430 am on way home from work...picked her up ..shivering dirty long toenails and her hair all chopped...took her home and she was exhausted and slept continually 20 hrs..had a big limp when walking..took to groomers and vet..was told she was probly abandoned starving and obviously not well taken care of,..only had a couple back teeth..vet said she was ANCIENT..15 yrs plus..I am afraid if taken to animal shelter they will put her to sleep..she does not limp now..think the long nails caused that..she has adjusted and has healthy appetite..vet said she is probly on her last days and to make her comfortable and give her love...also she has not barked since I found her...for got to ask vet about not barking..any thoughts out there or advice as to how to handle food and exercise..thanks |
