Did you have her xrayed so you will know 2 important things....(1) How many babies/placentas are you looking at to be delivered?.....and (2) mommas pelvic ring is large enough to pass these pups through. If you have had your xrays and you know there is no problem with pups fitting thru the pelvic ring, the only other thing you have to worry about is if someone gets sideways in there and blocks the entire shooting match. Is this her first litter? Is this YOUR first litter? Will you know if you are in trouble BEFORE you start loosing puppies or the momma? Is your vet on speed dial? Do you have someone that is experienced in whelping there with you? If you have covered all these bases, it is just a sit and watch game! Good luck and keep us posted! |
