Thank you all for your posts. It is a very controversial subject. Before I do anything I wanted to take all circumstances into consideration....the good and the bad. I am always very squeamish to put my babies under...as I guess most all of us are. I think these little guys are much more vulnerable to higher risk than humans are. But when push comes to shove you gotta do what you gotta do. But teeth cleaning at the age of 13ish is a kinda....
"will they survive better with plaque or is it better to have it removed".
Of course I prefer to have it removed but it will take a lot to get me to the vet to have it done....esp at this age. Yes, I will be looking for a specialist and it will be on a day that I can take off from work so I can be there as soon as she wakes up. And of course I will check out the advise of her vet as he knows her health status and has had more experience with this than me.
But thanks again for all your knowledge, that is the best start. as soon as we make a final decision I will post and let you all know how GiGi made out , what we went through and of course if the vet wanted us to do it at all.
