So NOT true! It is in the pedigree BEHIND the breeding pair. I have a female that weighs 7-8 lbs. She is my go-to girl for pulling size down from a larger male that I have....both these dogs weigh around 7-8 lbs, but they throw 4-5# babies. The puppies are all sold on spay neuter basis, because breeding any of these babies would eventually begin to throw large yorkies that bust the standard.....but from THIS breeding pair, both large yorkies, come some of the most adorable little, perfect sized, totally within the standard, offspring.
