I have heard raw keeps teeth pretty clean! That's great!
However, don't be scared of dentals. Sometimes they are just necessary, as they get up under the gumline. Aesthetically, teeth can LOOK clean/good, and not be... so she will probably need a dental in the future, especially if she already was very prone to plaque. The anesthesia is very safe and if you get proper bloodwork and follow new protocols, she will be fine.
