For me and I live in a very big city there is only one dual registered vet. That being a degree in holistic medicine and the regular DVM. It is the only type of holistic vet I would go to.
Natural remedies, and allopathic medicine each have their place in the health care of dogs and humans.
I am a kind of a middle of the road person, and do do lots of research first. Over vaccinating is not something I do, so I titer. Titering can be done with any regular vet, and does not need a holistic vet to do. How-ever it is more expensive then just blindly doing what ever booster shots the vet might advise you to do yearly.
Lepto Lymes ,bordatella, and Corona certainly need to be looked at given the location you live in, and if you need to board your dog etc.
