well if she isnt a jumper you could try a small xpen area when you are out, put a pee pad and her other necessities in there and see how that works out...but crate training is best small confined area so they will not soil in their own sleeping space for when they go to bed and when you are out of the house. then as soon as you come home bring her right outside to potty.
