Yes, I order most of my pet products online as well. Most of the chain pet stores do not stock the kind of products I use anyway not to mention the prices in those stores are outrageous.
I learned a long time ago that just going into a vet's office is a threat to my healthy pets. I always use a carrier and try to wait until it is time for our appointment outside if possible and then use the side entrance.
It's true that many people do not keep up with their dog's health maintenance and many only end up at the vet when there is a problem AND I have yet to see anyone cleaning the waiting room even though sick and injured pets have been traveling through the room for hours on end. I would have to guess that no one is going through the pet store sanitizing the floors throughout the day either.
It is fun to take the pet out for an outing now and then but I am very choosey about where that outing will be.
