I have one pup with the foxy looking face(Princeton) and one that's a teddy bear or babyface(Ricky). I always think of the longer nose, foxy face yorkies as more of the old school yorkies and the teddy bear/baby face ones with the shorter, boxier muzzles, as more of the new age designer yorkies.
As far as being able to tell what you are going to get in a pup so young, I can't tell ya that as I got both of my pups as adults. It seems like they all have cute little teddy bear faces as babies!! I'd think that the way the parents look would be a good indicator. It also seems like a lot of teddy bear faced yorkies are smaller adult dogs and maybe that has something to do with their faces staying so compact. |
