I originally was going to name her Twix, like the candy, because of her tan and black coloring when she was a baby. However, before we picked her up at 16 weeks, we watched a movie called "Hachi, a Dog's Tale" based on a true story (be careful if you haven't watched this movie yet, have a box of kleenex ready). Sachi's name was inspired by this movie. My husband liked Hachi but because the dog in the movie was a boy, I couldn't get away from associating Hachi as a boy's name. As such, Sachi came to mind. Sachiko also means child of joy and she truly is a joy!
Our first yorkie was name Choo Choo because my husband loved trains as a child.
