I'd be willing to pay & believe $1000-2000 is reasonable and fair in my area for an AKC puppy from a good/reputable breeder w/ a health guarantee. Anything less than that around here seems to be CKC (the lesser one) or not registered at all and from sketchy breeders/mills. Anything over that usually comes from greeders and people who call their dogs teacups &/or designer just to make more money. That's all just my opinion & from my own experience though and there are of course exceptions to that.
