We are living in Mexico right now, and our vet does not have all the things the US does to help Anna. There aren't any specialists here either. I love her very much, but it has reached a point where going to the US just for her isn't an option. I'm hoping for the best.

Four months ago we were told our 13 year old Yorkie (Al) had an enlarged heart and it was pushing on his trachea. His cough was only mild at that time. Since then we are also giving the Vetmedin, Enalapril,Spironolactone,Theophylline and hydro condone when needed. The cough has gotten really bad. Our vet said that if the last medication didn't help that maybe I just needed to realize his little heart had taken enough. Today, I called the Specialist at Ohio university to ask what they charge for a visit. They told me $140 initial office visit. I asked if I could send all his records to them and pay that amount to get their advice. Hopefully will hear tomorrow. This little dog has gone to my work a hair salon and followed my mom and dad to many nursing homes. He has touched so many lives. Never walked on a leash cause he stats right by my side at all times. I fight with trying to keep him alive or just letting him go. I sure wouldn't want to be coughing most the day. I feel for everyone. If anyone wants the number to the university it is 614-292-3551. My friend was told her dog had a tumor and the vet took it out but said the cells would kill him in 3 weeks. She went to university and they put her dog on chemo. That was 2 and a half years ago. Good luck all
