What foods have you tried? I have a pup who had surgery for liver shunt this past year and they suspect he has IBD. Instead of scoping him since he had been through so much at the time, the specialist suggested giving him Pepcid twice/day and put him on Hill's Ultra Z/D. As long as he is on that food he does well. Sometimes if he manages to get a treat or some food from one of my other pups, I notice he gets a bit out of kilter.
If you can afford scoping with a specialist, it would really be best; but if not, I would suggest at least going to one for a consult. You are close to LSU...I am sure they could help...BUT you also have a local place that our foster homes in BR use. I could look into that place for you. |
