Sleep is something that you don't mess with me with me...
I would never be getting up twice for my dog to use the bathroom (unless there was a health issue) especially when I don't even have to that often lol. Jackson has water available to him all night too and occasionally drinks some. He will often sleep for 10-12 hours through the night.
