Ah.. Zoey loves heat. She'll lay on top of the vent during winter time. Magnus on the other hand prefers the cooler weather. If you're more concerned about the heat, I say cut it. I usually get them cut to about 1/4" - 1/2" short. And like I said, if it seems chilly, I'll just put a sweater on them.
