I actually told her Gizmos story of how he almost died because of what the breeder had done to him, and that no it was not the breed that causes those things, but the way they are bred can likely lead to them. Unfortunately here where I live, is right next to palos verdes, it's like the Beverly Hills of the coast, and people do purposely buy these pups as accessories. You see them quite often in my area, and unfortunately it encourages breeders to keep up the practice :-( if you look for yorkies in Southern California on any advertising sites, like Craig's list or the recycler, there are tons of people selling so called micros and teacups :-(
