This is another issue that the pet owner has to decide what they feel is best for their pet. Saying one side is better than the other is another example of ones belief. I personally would not feed my dog corn and feel that people who say it's good for dogs are in need of education on the other side also. I have opted for a raw diet which I feel is the best choice for my dog.
I am saying that Dog Food Advisor is not a source of information that I personally would rely upon. As another YT member has pointed out, Dr. Sagman is a dentist...for humans. He claims to be a good dog food label reader, but I prefer to deal with members of the American College of Veterinary Nutrition who are veterinarians who spend their lives dispelling myths such as some of the ones on the internet.

I do agree with you that each pet owner has to decide what they feel is best for their pet. I do not rely upon marketing gimmicks for information. I rely upon professionals who as above give me the advice that is sound and rational that works within my household.

Raw diets are not an option for me. I was a biology major in college, and actually got my Bachelors degree in science so I remember how easy it was to grow colonies of bacteria and deal with resistant pathogens. No matter how fresh the food source is (and I have farms here that I buy from each week for food) someone is handling it. With processing comes increased risk of pathogenic bacteria and it is not a risk for me. I have enough issues to worry about. If you are comfortable feeding raw, knowing that each and every meal you feed is a new risk for your dog, then go for it. I think the issue of corn when strategically used in a diet for a dog is not at all relevant to the issue of raw feeding.
