Need Help finding Dentastix Replacement!! So...my older yorkie is obsessed with Dentastix. Most of his evenings are spent figuring out ways to get me to give him a dentastix...but lately I have been finding pieces of them wedged in the back left corner of his mouth and I have to stick my finger in there and pull them out. It's starting to scare me!!
Princeton is VERY picky when it comes to treats, chewies and food in general. Besides Greenies, which he can no longer have for the same reasons I want to stop the Denta's, I haven't found anything else he will chew on. I would like to find something else to replace the dentas or else he is going to drive me NUTS begging for them.
I have tried the following treats...
Nylabone drummies...
Bare Naked Dentasticks..
Busy Bones....
Pure dog treats that look like the Busy bones...
Bully sticks....
Pure dog treats(look like the Beggin Strips but last longer)
He doesn't like any of them.
Can anyone think of some SAFE chew treats that I haven't tried yet?!?
Does anyone feed any of the dried jerkey? I believe Happy Hips is one brand that has them, but they look like they are tough and will last as a chewy for a while. Are these safe to feed?? |
