Just the fact that they did not let you see both parents would lead me to be suspicious. It is really hard to tell for sure if they are purebred when they are pups. Usually you start seeing possible differences as they mature if they do have some other breed in them.

Beyond that, there are a lot of people breeding some really poor quality Yorkies out there. I'm not saying they are not good loving pets but many tend to have features that are not very Yorkie like. So when someone comes here to ask if their pup is purebred it is really impossible to say for sure. The best way to be sure is to know you have a reputable breeder that only breeds the best representatives of the breed.
