Absolutely! I have both an intact male and female of different breeds. My female has gone through 2 heat cycles (1 being with the male in the home). I know I have to be extra diligent with keeping them seperated during those times and keeping my eye on her when outside too. I understand some owners don't want to have to deal with the hassle of intact females(blood etc) also the marking/humping of males(even though neutering doesn't always absolve these problems).
