| FDA Releases Arsenic Test Results - Is Rice Safe for Your Dog? While arsenic content varied significantly from product to product, scientists concluded the levels were “too low in the rice… to cause any immediate or short-term adverse health effects”. I personally avoid grains in dog food, but recently after Turbo's nutriscan test, it shows that he doesn't have intolerance to any grains in particular. So they're currently eating Canine Caviar Lamb & Pearl Millet & are doing fantastic. I need to keep rotating proteins so he doesn't build an intolerance to any one food, so I will consider food(s) w/rice in it, I think it's fine in moderation...to have in rotation. They sure do love the rice & salmon I cook for them as a topper w/their moistened kibble sometimes. |
